Our story
A small Polish kitchen in Southampton, cooking the food we grew up on.
Somewhere, there's always a Babcia
Every Polish family has one. The grandmother who has the dough resting before anyone is awake, who counts the pierogi by the tray rather than the plate, and who will not hear that you've already eaten.
We call ours Babcia Wacia. She isn't one person. She's all of them: every babcia who pinched a thousand dumplings shut by hand, fed whoever walked through the door and made a strange city feel like home.
Pierogarnia is our way of cooking for her. Same fillings, same soft dough, same patience. Ruskie with potato, curd cheese and onion. Sauerkraut and mushroom for Christmas Eve. Meat the way it was always done. Made by hand in our Southampton kitchen, for your table at home.
What we care about
- Made by hand, in small batches, by people who grew up eating it.
- Proper Polish ingredients where it matters, good local ones everywhere else.
- Food that feeds people. Generous portions, fair prices, no fuss.

"If they leave hungry, it's my fault."
The only rule in Babcia's kitchen, and in ours.
